The Hungarian Europe Society, Congratulations, the Hungarian News Agency, and Censorship

On 11 July 2012, the Hungarian News Agency (MTI) refused to publish the declaration of the Hungarian Europe Society in an e-mail sent to the NGO. In this statement HES had congratulated to the journalists Aranka Szávuly and Balázs Nagy Navarro to their media prize announced in Leipzig. HES objected the decision of MTI in its response sent also in an e-mail. The conflict became public in an opinion-piece published on hvg.hu on 15 July 2012.

This year once again HES organised the meetings in Budapest and an excursion to the countryside for the fellows of the German Marshall Fund between 1-5 May 2015.
